Southern Motorhome Centre
SITE EXPANSION AND NEW WORKSHOP
We have expanded our site giving increased capacity for customer motorhome storage (having proved extremely popular with our customers), dedicated valeting bays and a greater sales area to enable us to increse still further our fantastic range of New and Used motorhomes.
We have a brand new Workshop and vehicle storage area for additional servicing, repairs, SMMT checks, and modifications/additions i.e. awnings, cycle racks, satellite navigation systems, alarms, satellite TV's etc.
The new workshop also enables us to prepare sold vehicles even more efficiently and speedily than before.

'Office on Wheels'
Maidenhead Housing Association picked up their Swift Gazell F63 from Southern Motorhome Centre in May. The layout suited them perfectly with it's versatility for use as an on site office. They have had the motorhome fully sign written as the picture below shows.

THE MMM AWARDS 2008
PRESS RELEASE
Southern Motorhome Centre named as best Southern Motorhome Dealer
Southern Motorhome Centre, based in Maidenhead, has been named as the Southern Dealer of the Year in the prestigious 2008 MMM awards, held by the UK's best-selling motorhome magazine.
The company took the top spot after judges and readers alike cited praised the high level of services offered, with everything from annual habitation checks and valeting to accessories and secure storage. Southern Motorhome Centre can be found on the main A4 between Slough and Maidenhead.
The MMM awards, in association with the Caravan Club, are now in their fourth year, recognising the best of the motorhome industry, at an annual ceremony held in the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. Each motorhome and service considered by the judges has to be nominated by a reader before making it onto the shortlist.
Mike Jago, Editor of MMM, said: "Finding a good dealer is like looking for an insurance policy; you'll only ever know if they're any good if something goes wrong. We looked for well informed salespeople who aren't too pushy, a good accessory shop that stocks the essentials, expert after sales technicians and support staff and general overall ambience and customer satisfaction."
Mike added: "The website really impressed us with video tours of motorhomes on the forecourt and plenty of advice for first-timers."

Sam, Jeanette and Harvey’s 2006 Motorhoming!
October 2006
At the beginning of 2006 we purchased a Swift Kontiki 615 on a Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD with a 3850kg Alko chassis. A 4 berth motorhome with a huge bed/rear lounge and separate shower/cassette toilet.
The motorhome excelled in every way. The Alko Chassis makes the motorhome very sure footed and gives a stable ride. The vehicle cruised happily at the maximum speed limit and the facilities on board create a fabulous environment to live in. A large comfortable, flat and lump free double bed/or two singles. A very functional separate toilet and shower room. The first we have ever had but certainly not the last.
A massive lounging/entertaining area and once I had mastered the complexity of the truma heating/hot water system we found it was the best and most efficient system we had ever used.
In the spring we saw an article in MMM magazine extolling the virtues of the North Cornish Coast. We started off at Hartland Point, travelled down the coast via Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Gaverne and ended the journey in Port Isaac. The whole stretch of the coast proved a very pleasant surprise.
The main trip of the year was back to Scotland to explore the Inner Hebrides. We broke the journey up by stopping overnight at the Tebay Services Campsite just off junction 38 of the M6. (You would never know the Motorway was just a few hundred yards away) A delightful site.
Having got to Mull we found the island so interesting we decided to stay and enjoy it rather than continue our journey on to Skye and beyond. A very beautiful place with something for everyone, again subject to weather.

We finished the year in the Lake District with some friends who purchased their motorhome from SMC in 2004. A great place for touring and walking and a holiday thoroughly enjoyed by all, despite some serious weather (waterproofs essential)
