Southern Motorhome Centre was established in May 1999. SMC specialise in the sale of quality, used low mileage motorhomes.
The site has been set up by a unique blend of people. Mike Graves, Director, has motorhomes in the blood! His grandfather ran a successful motorhome & touring caravan park and his father was a Managing Director of manufacturer, Autohomes. Mike, himself has sixteen years experience in motorhome sales.
Sam Lewis, Director, has another type of experience altogether! He has not only worked within the motorhome industry, previously, but also spent a year touring Europe with his wife Jeanette, in their Kontiki 640!
The rest of the staff at SMC, have practical experience, computer knowledge and business know how... Blended together this creates the perfect team!

"As my husband had been on at me for a long time, to change our static Caravan for a motorhome, I was very sceptical about travelling the road each weekend, or for holidays.
Eventually, as I was visiting a friend in Surrey, I thought I would come off the M4 at Jtn 8/9 as I knew Southern Motor Homes would be on my way from there.
I called in unknown to my husband to see what it was he liked about them, I was looking at a Rambler at the time, and thought why not try it for this year and see how it goes, at least I wouldn't have any problems with parking that.
When I brought him up to look, we fell in love with the Elddis Eclipse, and decided that was for us, as you know, we live a long way away, and our handover date was to be Monday 28th February at 12 noon.
On our way back that day, we found that the M4 had roadworks starting that day, on both Eastbound and Westbound carriageways, so we were worried that having decided upon that date it would be horrendous driving it back, and not having one before, didn't know what to expect.
You couldn't have been more accommodating, you changed our handover date to the week before, spent a long time showing us everything, made us cups of tea, which we very much appreciated, and put us at ease, I must agree, I have never found customer services anywhere as good.
The drive back wasn't as bad as we anticipated, mainly because you put our mind at ease. The Elddis drove beautifully, we stopped for a break halfway, and changed drivers, I drove the rest of the way. Now I see my Daughter and Son in Law are very interested, so who knows, you may see us again quite soon.
